Visit of Broadcom Foundation to UPC

We will be receiving the visit of the Broadcom Foundation to UPC Telecom School and the HIPICS group. There will be several talks and presentations about the Broadcom Foundation and University-Industry relations.

Visiting presenters are:

Ms. Paula Golden is the Executive Director of the Broadcom Foundation and she runs all the STEM programs. She will give a short talk (15 minutes) highlighting our Foundation’s involvement funding research around the world.

Sue Alexopoulos will talk (10minutes) about the ARCS Foundation and its role in Science and Engineering graduate education in the USA.

Nick Alexopoulos is the Vice President of University Relations and RF Research. He will give a talk on the general theme of University-Industry Relations.

3:00 – 4:00 PM   Broadcom visit Antenna Lab (Professors Jofre and Romeu)

4:00 – 5:00 PM   Broadcom visit the Dean of Telecom (Prof. Ferran Marques)

5:00 – 6:00 PM   Broadcom visit DEE-HiPICs group.
